our story...

It started as an infatuation with wearable objects that keep secrets and tell stories. The little things that bring sparkles to our lives. Every charXchen piece is meant to be an everyday companion, to be worn, and gather experiences (big + small) with you. Each is precious because of who wears it. Thank you for being a part of our story.

Current collection includes pieces casted in brass, sterling silver, and 14K gold, plated in 20K gold, 18K gold, rose-gold, or platinum. All pieces are handmade with love.

London Fashion Week SS18

We brought our latest collection to the other side of the pond to hang out at 180 Strand for a few days in September. It was lovely to unveil our SS18 pieces inspired by Alexander Calder, as well as introduce the classics to our new friends. Thank you British Fashion Council for hosting us and we look forward to be coming back again in the near future. Cheers!

#wearStripes

Known for the stripe canvas shirt often sported by Picasso, Saint James continues to make sensible clothing that is great for every day wear today.

Our designer, Charlotte had a fun day working with Saint James Taiwan and other makers on a small video project to celebrate the brand's new pop-up shop.

charXchen pop-up trunk show

平柒 Ping Qi  Taipei, Taiwan

We are very honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with the team at 平柒 Ping Qi to bring charXchen to the city of Taipei. Ping Qi is a jewellery select shop in the heart of Taipei’s Da-an district.

This trunk show is a showcase of all our existing collections including the CLASSICS, DUO, as well as the latest additions of NANA and the ALPHABETS. As a web-based small business, we are tremendously excited to extend our behind-the-screen experiences to meeting our patrons in person!

This trunk show is a joy to bring to live. It is a meeting of minds, of finding people with similar beliefs and aspirations. We are so lucky to have a host whose ideal aligns with ours in believing contemporary jewellery should be wearable objects that will enchant our everyday lives. We are forever grateful for this opportunity.

WOMAN NY AW17

We are back with at WOMAN, in NY this time!

We spent a few beautiful days at Spring Studios, bonded with new and old friends over a few plates of sweetgreen and lots of caffeine. We brought along our latest collections: NANA and ALPHABETS. Of course, our all-time favs CLASSICS were there with us too.

Thank you NY! See you again soon!!

WOMAN Paris SS17

It's been an exciting year starting with a show in New York and now Paris!

Late last month (September), we packed our bags and went to Paris market week to showcase our latest collection, DUO at WOMAN SS17. We loved spending time at the old warehouse building by Canal Saint Martin and could not get enough pastries (especially with Liberté and Du Pain et Des Idées just around the corner). We shared the floor with some lovely neighbors, Whit and Post-Imperial are two NYC-based brands with some super cute dresses, go check them out! Big thanks to the entire team at WOMAN for hosting us and we cannot wait to participate again.

Since here at cXc, we are firm believers of timeless designs, we have always tried to create pieces that could accommodate the wearer everyday. Two collections into production, we are very proud to share versatile creations that are not defined by seasons. As we wrapped up our showcase at WOMAN Paris, select pieces from DUO will be made available on our web store soon. Keep an eye out!

(capsule)show NYC women AW16

From Feb 21-23, 2016, we got to show our entire debut collection at (capsule) women's collection- coolest show around with the nicest crew! We got to hang out at booth N6 and met loads of new friends as well as caught up with some familiar faces. We presented a small garden landscape to contrast with the geometric silhouettes and linearity of the collection, also to reflect how architectural elements serve as a great inspiration to us. Those three days flew by but we got some photos here for those of you who couldn't make it.
